Theory of Change workshops

At Fundamentally, we facilitate Theory of Change workshops that clarify your intervention logic and act as a springboard for impact data collection.

What is Theory of Change?

It’s hard to measure impact and evaluate the success of your service delivery without first documenting the assumptions behind your intervention, and what the expected short, medium and long term outcomes are. That’s where a Theory of Change workshop comes in.

By visualising the connections between activities, outcomes, and impact, a Theory of Change workshop can provide clarity and focus for your projects, ensuring that all efforts are aligned with your overarching mission, and help you decide what data to start collecting to prove your Theory of Change.

“In Theory of Change workshops there’s usually a lightbulb moment for our customers - they realise that the intervention they’re doing isn’t the best way to achieve their desired outcome, or that they’ve made assumptions about their service users that aren’t based on data.

These lightbulb moments drive real change within an organisation, whether it’s amending interventions to match objectives, updating the goals of the programme, or collecting better data from their service users. Without clarity around your Theory of Change, so much time can be wasted.”
